Most listings now need some motion content on launch day. Social feeds favour video, buyers scroll past still images faster, and a "just listed" post with movement simply gets more attention. But not every listing justifies a film shoot. SpeedSell Video exists for that gap: a one-minute video generated with AI from the listing's own photos, ready to post without anyone filming on site.

This guide explains what SpeedSell is, what it can and can't do, which listings it suits and how to get the most out of it.

What SpeedSell Video is

SpeedSell Video takes the finished listing photos and turns them into a short video of about one minute. AI adds movement and sequencing to the stills, so the result plays like a video rather than a slideshow of static frames.

It's an add-on, not a standalone shoot. Because it's built from your photos, you book it alongside photography or a package, and the photo set becomes its raw material. Nobody returns to the property, and the sellers don't need to prepare the home a second time.

What it isn't

SpeedSell is not filmed footage. It can only show what the photos captured, so:

  • It doesn't move through the home. A filmed walkthrough shows how the entry leads to the kitchen and the kitchen to the yard. SpeedSell adds motion to individual frames instead.
  • It won't reveal anything new. A room, view or feature that isn't in the photo set won't appear in the video.
  • It doesn't replace a cinematic walkthrough for homes where flow, light or a view revealed as you walk in is the main selling point. For those, Cinematic Video is filmed on site with smooth camera movement and music.

Being clear about this up front keeps expectations right for you and your sellers. Our guide on how video helps sell a listing compares the two kinds of video in more detail.

Which listings suit SpeedSell

SpeedSell works best when the main need is motion for social posts, not a full story about how the home flows:

  • Condos and compact homes with straightforward layouts, where a filmed walkthrough would add little that the photos don't already show.
  • Listings on a tighter media budget that still need a video for Instagram, Facebook or TikTok.
  • Fast launches, where the listing goes live soon after the shoot and you want something to post on day one.
  • Realtors who post every listing. If your brand relies on a steady stream of "just listed" videos, SpeedSell keeps that rhythm going without filming every home.

It's a weaker fit for luxury listings, view homes and large open-plan properties, where buyers want to understand space and atmosphere before they book a showing.

Why the photos matter most

Because SpeedSell is generated from stills, the video is only as good as the photo set behind it. A few things make a noticeable difference:

  1. Strong exposure. HDR photography keeps windows and interiors balanced, so each frame holds up when it's moving.
  2. Good coverage. One or two strong angles of each key room give the video enough material to tell a simple story from exterior to interior.
  3. A clear hero image. The opening seconds decide whether people keep watching, so the strongest exterior or main living space should lead.
  4. A prepared home. Clutter, mismatched bulbs and half-open blinds show up in the video exactly as they do in the photos.

If the photo set is weak, no edit will fix it. If it's strong, SpeedSell gives it a second life in the feed.

How to use it after launch

A one-minute video is short enough to work almost anywhere you promote the listing:

  • Launch day: post it natively on each platform rather than sharing a link, and pin it to your profile while the listing is active.
  • Open house week: repost it with the date and time in the caption, or use the first few seconds as a story.
  • Status changes: a price adjustment, a new open house or a "sold" update gives you a reason to run it again with a fresh caption.
  • Direct outreach: send it to buyers who asked about similar homes, or include it in your listing email.

Our two-week content schedule shows where a short video fits alongside carousels, layout posts and neighbourhood content.

Keep it accurate

AI-generated media still has to represent the home honestly. Review the finished video before you post it, make sure nothing in it suggests features the property doesn't have, and follow your brokerage's policy and BCFSA guidance on altered or AI-assisted images. Your advertising disclosures apply to video posts just as they do to photos.

Pairing SpeedSell with a package

SpeedSell isn't part of any package at the moment, but it pairs naturally with one. The Launch package includes HDR Photography and a measured Floor Plan (LiDar), which gives SpeedSell a strong photo set to work from and gives buyers the layout the video can't show. The bottom line

If the listing needs motion for social media but not a filmed walkthrough, SpeedSell Video gets you there from the photos you already have. If the home's appeal depends on how it flows, film it instead, and use the photos for everything else.
