Buyers want to know what surrounds a home before they book a showing. Drone photography answers that in one frame: the size and shape of the lot, the backyard, the view corridor, and how close the property sits to a beach, park, school or SkyTrain line.
Drone Photography is a flat-rate add-on, so it's booked together with photography or a package. Because every flight in Canada has to follow Transport Canada's drone rules — and parts of Metro Vancouver sit in controlled airspace around YVR and other airports — aerial work depends on location and weather, and some sites need extra lead time.

When aerials are worth adding
Drone photos pay off when the setting sells the home: a Maple Ridge acreage, a White Rock property a block from the promenade, a North Shore lot backing onto forest. For a mid-floor condo, a single aerial of the building and neighbourhood can still help, but the budget usually does more in HDR Photography or a Matterport tour.
Airspace, weather and timing
Flights must follow Transport Canada regulations. Much of Richmond and areas near other airports and heliports are controlled airspace, which requires authorization before flying and can affect the schedule. Rain and strong wind also ground a drone. If aerials are essential to the listing, book early and keep a backup date in mind.
